We have a range of regular activities and special events for all ages within the Parish and wider community.
Children and families
We have a number of regular and annual events for children and their families;
452 Children's Ministry for children aged 4 to 10 years with games, crafts and stories during the Sunday morning service (fortnightly) at St Columba's Church, Hornby
Activity tables at all three churches for kids to use during Sunday services
Annual Community Fun Day with a bouncy castle, face painting, games, sausage sizzle
Family-friendly Easter Services with music, an Easter-themed sermon, followed by hot-cross buns
- Nativity and Christmas services and activities
- Annual Church Picnic Service in the Christmas holidays- Bake sales and other community fundraisers to enjoy or get involved with during the year
Pastoral Care and Prayer Support are available
Seniors
In-home/rest-home/hospital Communion and Pastoral Care Support visits are available
Prayer support is available
Outreach and Community Support
The Parish supports the wider community through practical initiatives such as food and clothing donations and fundraisers for the City Mission, collected at the Church entrance, and pastoral support where needed. Please see the Help and Support page for more information.
We act as a collection point for some hard to recycle items like household batteries and encourage our congregation to practice recycling - Please see the Sustainability page for more information.
