Weekly Notices - 25 August 2024

Every Sunday is important in the life of the parish.

This Sunday has something special going on at St Saviour’s. We are baptising and welcoming Akadius into the family of God. When a baby or young child is baptised the child cannot make the decision to follow Jesus. This means that the parents are making a decision on the child’s behalf. When the child is old enough it is hoped that the Christian input into their life will lead them to accepting Jesus as their Saviour and Lord.

Please pray for Aki and Alanis as they seek to help young Akadius to grow his faith. Pray also for Judy and Xhandrix who are the godparents. Judy has another role as well as she is Akadius’ grandmother.

Next Saturday, August 31, we have our Cake and Produce Stall at Templeton School Fair (11 am-3 pm). Normally this would be organised and ably led by Jean.
However Jean is in hospital recovering from a stroke. Can you help both with baking et cetera, being a collection point and perhaps being a friendly face on the stall on the day. Please talk with Karen, Justine, or Les about this.

Les.
